I am a full-time data professional, part-time hobbyist photographer, composer, and builder, based out of New York City. I find my purpose in learning, discovering, and creating; from the work I do to the amateur art I make, I love to find things that are new and expand on them.
In my short professional career, I've had the opportunity to work at the intersection of product, operations, and data. At Instagram, the core of my current role is helping teams launch new products by delivering insights from internal beta testers that inform product direction ahead of a public launch. I've had the opportunity to support some awesome product releases, like Instagram's first timeline-based video editing tool. Most of my time is spent in a data engineering capacity, developing data pipelines, metrics, and dashboards that help our operations organization measure the effectiveness of various workstreams. I also love spending time on product research, going deep into the data to help my team understand opportunities to create a better experience for our users.
Photography is a recent new hobby of mine. My first camera is a Fujifilm XT-30ii, which I picked up because it has software filters that emulate the appearance of analogue film, meaning you don't have to edit pictures for them to look good. I find I like taking pictures of inanimate objects; buildings, urban still life, or nature (as opposed to people or events). I hope to continue learning and improving, developing my own unique style.
Music is my oldest hobby, attending performing arts schools from 7th through 12th grades as a Jazz Saxophonist. I took a couple of composition classes my senior year of college, reconnecting with my musical upbringing and developing a love for creating something new. I would consider myself a media composer; someone who writes to accompany television, movies, or even podcasts. I see music as uniquely able to persuade your emotions into believing the story being told. I have a hard time sharing my compositions because I have a hard time finishing them, always bouncing around ideas and songs to tinker.
And for maybe the most important thing about me, I am a proud cat dad to my boy Bruce. He is a very orange cat who was an Upper West Side stray, rescued from a trash pile near a basement entrance during a snow storm. He bounced around for a few months in foster homes before I adopted him on June 21st, 2021. He loves Tuna and looking out the window, hates being picked up and soft textures, and is the highlight of my days.

Various Roles
September 2017 - January 2021
HSA is the largest student run business in the world, employing over 700 students with over $7M in revenues. I spent 3 years at HSA working part time during the school year and full time during the summer, first running operations at a dry cleaners and laundry delivery service, then as a senior manager at a custom retail shop, and finally was elected by my peers to serve as a student director on the board of directors. In those years I gained a love for entrepreneurship, an eye for good ops, and some lifelong friends.

I led international pre-launch functional tests of Instagram Lite, a new product for users in emerging markets. I designed tests with key user segments to gather functional, qualitative, and usability insights, analyzing and reporting results back to internal stakeholders.
